Circle of Security® Parenting™

SPRING GROUP REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Stay connected with us to be the first to know when our next group launches!

An 8-week series designed for caregivers of children (parents, foster parents, legal guardians, grandparents) who want to focus on supporting safe, responsive and protective relationships.

There’s no such thing as a “perfect parent”

A compassionate, no-blame approach allows parents to feel supported, regardless of their personal and parenting history. Each week, you will view video content and there will be group discussions to explore your thoughts and beliefs about parenting and children. You will reflect on:

  • Your experience of parenting

  • Your experience of being parented

  • How your partner’s experiences might be different from yours

  • How your child’s experience might be different from yours

What you’ll learn

Meet your facilitator

Carly Thomas

BSW, Registered Social Worker (she/they)

“I am a neurodiverse, queer person of Anishinaabe, Metis and European descent. I am passionate about bringing ceremony and spirituality into my understanding of psychology and systems theory to create a powerful catalyst for healing.

I have extensive experience in supporting Indigenous communities in making informed decisions about their therapeutic treatment plans and connecting with their nervous systems through a cultural lens.

I have a vast understanding of the 2SLGBTQIA* community and have worked with folks as a sex educator, relationship support and queer advocate.

I enjoy working with people through a trauma informed lens and I believe in relationship and community connection above all else.

I tend to lean into the Internal Family Systems model, brain based science and pleasure activism to empower people.

I look forward to creating safe and non-judgmental spaces for new and current Positive Perspectives community members.”
