WELCOMING NEW CLIENTS
Hi there! I’m Rebecca (She/They), I’m passionate about working with folks who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational challenges and 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. I’m here to support clients as they manage stress, build self-esteem, confidence, and self-acceptance.
My work is guided by my commitment to decolonization, reconciliation, and social justice, and I strive to provide care that is holistic, compassionate, and inclusive.
Hi there! I’m Rebecca, and I’m currently completing my Master’s of Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University while completing my practicum here at Positive Perspectives.
I decided to become a therapist because I know how isolating it can feel to go through difficult times without someone to turn to. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how powerful it can be to have a trusted support to lean on, and I’m passionate about creating that kind of safe, affirming space for others.
I’m especially passionate about working with folks who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational challenges and 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. I’m here to support clients as they manage stress, build self-esteem, confidence, and self-acceptance. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, meaning clients are always in control of their own sessions, and I’m there to walk alongside them. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.
My work is guided by my commitment to decolonization, reconciliation, and social justice, and I strive to provide care that is holistic, compassionate, and inclusive. I want clients to feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore who they are — free of judgment and full of possibility.
Outside of the therapy space, I love spending time with my wife and our cat, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying hikes, camping, and music festivals in the summer. During the colder months, I recharge by crocheting, playing video games, and watching reality TV. (Fun fact — I once danced with Countess Luann from The Real Housewives of New York! 💃)
I am available on Mondays from 10 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesdays from 3:30 PM–7:30 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM and welcoming folks age 17+.
Sessions are available in person, virtually or by phone - whatever feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
Fees are offered on a sliding scale, including a reduced student rate. You’re welcome to discuss your rate directly with your practitioner and additonal sliding scale options are available upon request.
Thank you for the trust you place in us as we do this work together!
