WELCOMING NEW CLIENTS
Hi there! I’m Hareet (She/Her), a Master’s of Counselling Therapy Student at Positive Perspectives.
I’m passionate about working with young adults who may be navigating shifts in relational dynamics, anxiety and stress. My hope is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood and empowered to grow.
I’ve always been drawn to helping others, and after experiencing therapy myself, I knew this was the right path for me. Being part of someone’s journey toward healing and growth is something I feel truly honoured to do.
I’m passionate about working with young adults who may be navigating shifts in relational dynamics, anxiety and stress. I understand how overwhelming mental health can feel at times, and my hope is to offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
My therapeutic style is client-centered, collaborative, and strength-based. I often use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a foundational tool, while incorporating humanistic and Gestalt approaches to support self-awareness, personal growth, and self-compassion. I believe in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they explore their experiences and discover their strengths.
At the heart of my work are my values of honesty, respect, and compassion. Honesty builds trust, respect allows clients to feel safe and seen, and compassion helps me stay grounded and fully present in every session. One quote that continues to guide me is:
“People start to heal the moment they feel heard.” – Cheryl Richardson
Outside of the therapy room, you can find me spending time with friends and family, watching movies, painting, or curled up with a cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course!). I also love music and enjoy singing, and playing the trumpet and harmonium — creative outlets that help me stay balanced and recharged.
I am available on Mondays from 10 AM–6:00 PM, Wednesdays from 3:30 PM–7:30 PM, and Sundays from 3:00 PM–6:00 PM and welcoming folks age 17+.Sessions are available in person, virtually or by phone - whatever feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
Fees are offered on a sliding scale, including a reduced student rate. You’re welcome to discuss your rate directily with your practitioner, and additional sliding scale options are available upon request.
